Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
Interpreter Now! provides on demand Interpreters via our HIPAA compliant, Zoom enabled devices or any camera-enabled device for Video Remote Interpreting (VRI). This service is performed through a remote interpreter who facilitates communication between the providers of service and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals. The benefits of VRI include:
On-demand access: On Demand service available for Spanish language.
No extra charge for equipment: our Zoom enabled devices are all-in-one screen, speakerphone, and camera which only require Wi-Fi connection. They are compact and easy to use with only one touch needed to start a session. We provide them free of cost to our clients.
Lower cancelation rates for clinics: no need to cancel or reschedule appointments when in-person interpreters are running late or do not arrive for scheduled appointments.
No contact encounters: reduces risks for staff and patients
Access to a variety of languages: CCHI or NBCMI Nationally Certified Interpreters in: Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, French, Russian and American Sign Language (ASL)
Zoom links can be shared easily with other allied health associates such as Nurse Case Managers or Safety Supervisors.
VRI to in-person availability: we contract a large roster of local interpreters who are available to assist whenever in-person interpretation is needed.
